Giclée Prints

The word Giclée is a French word meaning ‘to squirt’. The process consists of creating a high quality digital scan of the original, and printing the Giclée at high resolution with a printer that uses minute droplets of archival ink to create prints that cannot be duplicated by other printing techniques. This produces exceptional museum quality prints. 

Our Giclée prints:

• Can either be printed on the finest watercolor paper available, offering a textured appearance, or on 100% cotton canvas
• Use 100% acid free archival paper
• Are created with long-lasting pigment based archival inks

Face Mounted Acrylic Display

The images are printed on high quality photographic paper that interacts well with the adhesives and 3/8” thick acrylic (Plexiglas). The acrylic is archival with UV protection. Images can be printed up to 43 1/2” wide. After print has cured for 72 hours, acid-free optically clear adhesive is used to mount the print to the acrylic, and then acid free adhesive is used to mount the print to the brushed aluminum sheet.

Mounting the print to the aluminum offers a strong, light weight protective backing for the print. All completed pieces are “Ready to Hang”, using EZ–Bar. All face mounts the edging is beveled and hand polished. Shipping is not included in pricing. Upon receipt of money, expect your order to be complete within 10–16 business days. At an additional cost, we offer 1⁄2” Plexiglas (please call for pricing).

Standoff Mounted Acrylic Display

 Our Standoff displays:

• Have hand-polished edges
• Use brushed aluminum standoffs that are 3/4” in diameter with a 1” long barrel.
• Use 3/8” UV protected acrylic (Plexiglas)
• Use polypropylene as the backing of the image, which protects the image itself.

The client may request that the display has a 3” to 4” border of Plexiglas around the image. Please note that when pricing for the additional border of Plexiglas that the entire measurement of the finished product is figured in pricing. (Example: Actual size of image requested: 24”x36” with a 3” border of Plexiglas, the actual size for pricing becomes 30”x42”. If the image is 30”x45” or larger, it will require larger hardware and the price increases.

The example display above shows an approx. 3” border of Plexiglas around the image, which we offer by request only.
