Take Your Camera Dining

Whenever I travel my camera almost always goes with me to the restaurants.  It is fun to take shots as food and drink are placed on the table.  Most often, I do not rearrange things.  I just try to find an interesting angle for the shot.  I recently sold one of these featuring red wine served at the table.

Another Item From The Family Treasure

You don’t have to burn any gas for these photo projects.  Just dig the items out of that box, or drawer, or off a shelf and shoot at home.  This was Dad’s slide rule.  I am old enough to have used one, too, in college.  But, for today’s students, it’s from the dark ages.  So, now I have the picture which will go nice in the den and can also be emailed to my grandchildren to show them how we did it in the old days.

Buildings Reflected in Buildings

Glass buildings downtown often present nice abstract images.  These are tight shots concentrating on the reflected pattern of another building.

The Expected and the Unexpected

These shots are from a concert at UNF - a tribute to Count Basie.  I had an opportunity to photograph this from backstage.  The composite shows the expected shot (upper left) and two unexpected shots.  Don’t forget to look for the unexpected.

Opportunity

You never know when an image might suddenly be before you.  I was in West Virginia staying with friends in an upstairs guest bedroom.  I awoke to this stormy scene out the window, grabbed the camera, and got this moody shot.
